Botany Association Inauguration

The Botany Association was formally inaugurated by Dr.K .Joseph John, Principal Scientist (Rtd), ICAR-NBPGR-RS, Thrissur on 4th July 2022 at 1.30 pm. The pRogram started at 1.30pm with a prayer followed by welcome speech  by Dr.M.Anilkumar, Head, Department of Botany. Prof.(Dr.) M.I Punnoose, Principal of the college presided over the function and stressed the importance of Association in the academic and extracurricular activities of a department.  Dr.K. Joseph John inaugurated the Botany Association activities by lighting the lamp. He had given an elaborate talk on the topic Agro biodiversity of Andaman Nicobar Island Conservation issues and potential for crop improvement. The talk was very informative and led the students through a trip to Andaman islands. Dr.Anumol Jose, Asst. Prof, Department of Botany proposed the Vote of thanks and the program was over by 4.30pm.
